My submission to Global Game Jam 2025, where the theme was "Bubble". My goal here was to learn more about trigonometry and manipulating rotations, as well as improving on feedback to the player when important things are happening in the game. I also tried to correct the mistake of my last game jam and keep the scope as minimal as possible.

My initial idea was to have a fan mapped to the player cursor that "blows" a bubble around the level as you try to avoid objects, but that proved to be really unfun, so I kept tightening the floaty physics until the bubble kinda doesn't feel like a bubble at all to be honest. I also had to cut some ideas for power-ups that, for example, clear the screen of all enemies, or increase the speed of your bubble.

I don't think I will take this project anywhere further, but it was really great for learning about 3D maths, which is an area I am trying to improve in.

Instructions:

Use left and right to move yourself around the circle. Use up and down to blow the bubble in that direction. Avoid pellets, stay in the multicolor zone to absorb color and earn points.
